Box of Rain is a year-round program designed to inspire and encourage Annapolis area youth, especially those from disadvantaged circumstances, to gain self-esteem and to develop life skills that lead to positive contributions to the community. Full Moon Cruises, Happy New Year! ASE Full Moon Cruises initiated for the 2013 season, come on out and howl! Sail for an evening (7-11p) on the moon lit waters of the Chesapeake Bay watching the sun set and the full moon rise over the Eastern Shore fields. View the pale disc rise and reflect off the water as you take the helm and steer a course aboard the powerful, 40ft sloop, Wharf Rat through the Bay's chop. Grab some friends and sail for an evening you will not soon forget!

Wednesday Night Racing Every Wednesday evening Rock Creek Racing Association sponsors PHRF sailboat racing on the Patapsco River between the Francis Scott Key Bridge and the Bay followed by a BBQ on the deck of Oak Harbor Marina. Sail with the Wharf Rat crew for a fun introduction into sailboat racing and see why we are out there each week competing and enjoying a night on the water. Reserve Your Charter

  • Full Moon Sails, Sunset Dinner Cruises and Internet Promotions To Reserve your Full Moon or Sunset Dinner Cruise select a date from the online calendar and Email Captain Larry your choice for confirmation. A reply to your email will verify your date, answer questions and provide an address to send your check. Sunset Dinner Cruise internet promotions dates are in RED font. Full moon Cruise dates are listed on calendar .
  • Day and Overnight Charters are planned according to your objectives. Combine it with some instruction if you like or sail on an overnight passage to the Eastern Shore anchored in a scenic creek. You will see stars and planets appear not visible in urban areas of the Western shore. Call Captain Larry to discuss your options. Schedule Early for choice dates.
  • Racing Work alongside Wharf Rat's Racing Team and see what all the excitement is about as the boats begin to time themselves for the starting line looking for clean air and speed. A number of races are available for guests to join including two night races, no experience necessary .
